Beyond Leaky Gut – Intestinal Barrier Assessment with GI-MAP™
When it comes to gut health, the intestinal barrier is of critical importance. A wide range of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases have been linked to reduced integrity of the intestinal barrier, including increased intestinal permeability – a.k.a., “leaky gut”.
Clinical approaches for assessing the intestinal barrier have largely focused on determining the extent of leaky gut. However, research in recent years has revealed a complex interplay among several key components of the intestinal barrier in addition to tight junctions – including immune factors, mucus, and the commensal microbiome.
During this webinar, Dr. Tom Fabian, will review how clinicians can gain broader insights into intestinal barrier health with the GI-MAP, providing a foundation for more effective therapeutic interventions for patients.
